Katja Loher, Lea Lenhart, Rosali Schweizer, Panni Somody

Essenza

11.04.–31.05.

Exhibition

Our first exhibition of the year is entitled ‘Essenza’ and brings together the perspectives of three outstanding artists on what lies at the heart of everything: our origins and the cradle of life in the ocean, and the most primordial source of energy, light.

Public guided tours in German, seating available:

19 April, 5–6 p.m.

24 May, 5–6 p.m.

The interplay between perspective and position will play a central role in the exhibition, and we would like to challenge you to reflect on our common origins while opening up a dialogue between science and art, between the visible and the hidden, between the past and the future.

Impressions

Artists

Katja Loher is known for her immersive video sculptures that merge projection technology with organic forms to create ‘miniature planets’.

Those who enter a room filled with Rosali Schweizer’s objects are immersed in a magical world of light, colour and movement, where fragile constructions react to the slightest breeze to reflect and refract light in ever-changing patterns.

Lea Lenhart’s delicate glass sculptures are inspired by the underwater world: tiny pearls, intricate ornaments and elegant tentacles that stretch towards the light in a harmonious play of colours.

Our artist in residence, Panni Somody, is a student of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Anke Doberauer. She questions gender roles and social inequalities with her provocative works.
